RBH ('RBH') has been retained as management company for 22 InterContinental Hotels Group franchised properties recently acquired by two large investment companies.
The UK's leading independent management company has agreed terms to continue overseeing the 21 Holiday Inn and Crowne Plaza properties purchased by one investor on December 1. RBH will also continue to operate Holiday Inn London Kensington Forum, now owned by another hotel investor, which boasts 906 bedrooms and is the UK's fifth largest hotel.
RBH was appointed by the previous owner to manage the 22 properties in late 2014, and took over the running of the hotels in January 2015.
The deal added 2,300 staff and 6,000 rooms to the management company's portfolio, taking its total number of managed properties to 69 and cementing its position as Europe's largest manager of IHG franchised hotels.
The 22 hotels, which have annual turnover in excess of £200m, have gone from strength to strength under their management and the continued IHG branding. A successful sale process by the previous owners is testament to the exceptional performance of all 22 hotels.
Helder Pereira, Chief Executive Officer of RBH, said: "We are delighted to be continuing to manage these prestigious properties and particularly pleased to have been retained on the strength of our transformational delivery for them.
"We were involved in supporting the sales process, helping the owners to achieve the most attractive price for the assets and in turn provide value for shareholders, and look forward to working closely with both new owners to continue the success of the properties."
Stewart Campbell, Managing Director of RBH, said: "Since taking over management of these hotels in early 2015 they have gone from strength to strength, so we are very pleased to be able to continue to oversee their success in partnership with the new owners.
"Holiday Inn London Kensington Forum is a landmark hotel in the capital so we are delighted to have retained it within our portfolio and look forward to working closely with the new owners to continue its transformation."
"It continues to be business as usual as we ensure these 22 hotels offer best in class service to guests at all times."
The properties include five central London hotels, plus Holiday Inn Edinburgh, Holiday Inn Cardiff City, Holiday Inn Glasgow Airport and Crowne Plaza Birmingham NEC.
RBH currently manages 23 Holiday Inn hotels and six Crowne Plaza hotels, and works with other brands including Hilton, Starwood, Accor, Marriot and Wyndham.
Its management services are all-encompassing, including operations, sales, HR, IT, marketing, procurement, revenue management and capital expenditure.
