voco London Marylebone Joins IHG’s Low Carbon Pioneer Programme
RBH is proud to announce that London’s first voco branded hotel — voco London Marylebone— is now also the first London hotel to join IHG’s Low Carbon Pioneer Programme, driving sustainability messaging forwards across RBH’s portfolio and IHG’s global estate.
The 93-bedroom hotel in the heart of London, with a particular focus on energy efficiency and environmental responsibility, operates entirely without fossil fuel combustion on-site* and runs on 100% renewable energy. As part of an ongoing commitment to sustainability, the hotel has also achieved Silver accreditation from Green Tourism, reinforcing the team’s dedication to minimising environmental impact.
Some of the measures implemented at voco London Marylebone leading to becoming a Low Carbon Pioneer hotel include:
- A partnership with Npower to supply 100% renewable energy throughout the hotel.
- An advanced Lutron lighting system with energy-saving sensors, auto-dimming features, and real-time efficiency tracking.
- A fully electric kitchen and Hydrobox heat pump systems replacing traditional gas boilers.
- Solar panels and a Building Management System (BMS) to optimise energy usage and heat recovery.
- Smart guest room sensors to reduce unnecessary energy consumption.
- Sustainable guest amenities, including plant-based Antipodes toiletries.
Pritesh Hirani, general manager of voco London Marylebone, said: “We are incredibly proud to be part of IHG’s Low Carbon Pioneers programme as one of the first in the UK, and to be recognised for the hotel’s dedication to environmental responsibility. We’re looking forward to welcoming guests for their low carbon and relaxing stay with us.”
voco London Marylebone is RBH’s 77th property in partnership with IHG and the first voco branded property within the portfolio, reinforcing RBH’s commitment to bringing innovative, sustainable, and high-quality hospitality experiences to the market.
