RBH celebrates its portfolio’s achievements at annual awards night in Glasgow
RBH, the UK’s most experienced hospitality management company, brought together its portfolio of over 50 UK-hotels in Glasgow to celebrate the achievements of the past year at its annual awards night.
Hosted at Glasgow's infamous Kelvingrove Art Gallery & Museum, the evening followed on from RBH’s 2-day annual conference, and recognised outstanding performance across 8 categories, with the coveted ‘Hotel of the Year’ award going to the Holiday Inn Express Edinburgh City Centre. The award is measured against 7 core metrics: hotel’s market share, profitability, profit flowthrough, guest experience, health & safety audit compliance, employee retention and engagement and energy reduction; in which the hotel performed excellently and surpassed its targets.
Other award winners included Saurabh Kukreja from The Gantry London, Curio Collection by Hilton, taking ‘General Manager of the Year’. Each of the shortlisted General Managers were celebrated for having had a fantastic year – recognising their outstanding work within their property, within the hospitality industry and for their business partnering with the management company team.
Attendees also celebrated each hotel’s and management company’s chosen Employee of the Year, demonstrating RBH’s core values of integrity, care, ambition and excellence.
The full list of winners is as follows:
- The People Engagement Award, sponsored by AB InBev, was awarded to Holiday Inn Express Barrow-in-Furness
- The RBH Manco & Beyond Award, sponsored by triSaaS, was awarded to RBH's Director of Brand Performance, Claire Johns
- The Manager of the Year Award, sponsored by Marriott International and Britvic was awarded to Chris Isles.

RBH's CEO, David Hart, commented:
"The RBH annual conference and awards continues to be a key date in the RBH calendar, and in the year that we will later celebrate 25 years of operating hotels, it felt right to host it in Glasgow, the real home of RBH. Congratulations to all our award winners and nominees, all of whom have had a standout year!"
