RBH managed a large £5.8m extension at the Holiday Inn Express Edinburgh City Centre. Our team reviewed the existing planning consent for a 22-bedroom extension and identified an opportunity for an additional 3-bedrooms within the footprint, increasing the asset value. This entailed fitting a Metsec structural frame over 5 storeys at the rear of the hotel. We also managed the refurbishment of the existing 161-bedrooms, installing new air conditioning to all bedrooms and a full refurbishment of all bedroom corridors and ground floor public areas.
