Now in its tenth year and with its mission of encouraging, recognising and rewarding excellence, the Scottish Hotel Awards is firmly established as the biggest annual celebration of talent in the Scottish hospitality industry.
The BDL properties recognised at this year's ceremony were: Princes Street Suites in Edinburgh, The Landmark in Dundee, Rosslea Hall in Helensburgh and Ramada Encore Inverness.
Princes Street Suites, luxury serviced apartments in Edinburgh, was recognised with three awards including Serviced Apartments Innovation Award, Rising Star-Serviced Apartments of the Year and Gold Medal Hotel Manager for their General Manager, Sandrine Contier-Lawrie.
The Landmark in Dundee, soon to become a DoubleTree by Hilton, scooped four awards including Dundee Hotel of the Year 2013 for the third year running, Hotel Team of the Year 2013, Kindness and Care Hospitality Award (Anne Duncan - Breakfast Team) and a General Manager Laurel for Excellence Award for Richard Ellison.
Rosslea Hall Hotel in Helensburgh was awarded a Gold Medal for Excellence in Hotel Management and Silver Medal for Chefs Culinary Excellence.
Ramada Encore Inverness picked up a Social Media Laurel recognising their hard work in this area over the past 12 months.
Established in 1997, Glasgow-based BDL Management operates hotels across the UK, from Inverness to Jersey. Its portfolio includes brands across all service tiers - from the upscale Crowne Plaza to the midmarket Holiday Inn Express as well as independent properties.
In August 2013, BDL will open The Moorfield Hotel, Shetland, and is currently working with Hilton Worldwide to rebrand Dundee's Landmark Hotel and Edinburgh's Point Hotel as the company expands its Doubletree by Hilton offering in the UK.
