Working in conjunction with Hotel Employers Group and Springboard, RBH was delighted to exhibit at the Skills London 2013 event on Friday 22nd November.
Skills London 2013 is the biggest jobs and careers event of the year with over 30,000 visitors and 175 exhibitors taking part. The event provided the opportunity for 15-24 year olds to meet potential employers and training providers to find out about careers in hospitality.
As the UK's largest independent hotel management company, RBH representatives and divisional directors Graham Norris and Philip Bolson were at the event to provide invaluable career advice at the highly interactive event, which ran on Friday 22nd and Saturday 23rd November.
The stand focused on various aspects of the industry, and the overall aim was to demonstrate the range of positions and significant potential for career progression available in hospitality. Visitors to the stand were able to "Dress to Impress" using hotel uniforms, receive career advice and experience real life journeys to the senior positions of Neil Taylor, Chief Operating Officer of RBH, and Richard Storey, General Manager of Crowne Plaza Marlow.
The "Dress to Impress" zone caught the attention of the Mayor of London, Boris Johnston, who took the chance to try on a hotel doorman's uniform whilst attending the event.
