The Rosslea Hall Hotel has been awarded the prestigious accolade of Wedding Venue of the Year 2014 at the Scottish Wedding Awards.
The unique wedding venue fought off competition from luxury locations across Scotland to take home the best south west venue and overall wedding venue titles at Glasgow's Crowne Plaza Hotel on 25 February.
Hundreds of brides and grooms nominated the Helensburgh hotel for the accolade, recognising the wedding venue for its personal customer service, luxurious menu and distinguished location overlooking the Firth of Clyde.
Rosslea Hall took the sought-after crown for the first time following an exciting period of growth. Since taking the helm four years ago, general manager Don McGregor, has worked to expand the venue's specialised wedding service, hosting six times as many wedding celebrations last year compared with 2010.
The hotel has also led the way in themed weddings, putting on seventeen Winter Wonderland weddings complete with fake snow and a horse drawn carriage over the last three months.
The trail-blazing venue has pulled off a Victorian wedding, Mad Hatters Tea Party wedding and Star Wars wedding in a bid to deliver a truly bespoke service to guests.
Don McGregor, General Manager at Rosslea Hall Hotel, said:
"Achieving this type of national recognition from our customers and fellow wedding industry professionals is an incredible accomplishment, particularly considering the tough competition we faced from 5 star venues throughout Scotland.
"I'm extremely proud of the team at Rosslea for their passion and dedication, both of which have been instrumental in helping us clinch this title.
"As a venue we recognise the pivotal role we play in ensuring our customers' big day is perfect so we constantly strive to exceed the expectations of every couple that comes through our doors.
"It's fantastic to be officially recognised as Wedding Venue of the Year as we look forward to welcoming a record number of brides and grooms to share their special day with us in 2014."
